The land adjacent to Quelm Lane and Sopwith Road has been designated as an allotment site as part of the Warfield SPD. We are pleased to be able to announce that the transfer of the site to the parish is now well under way. Work to clear and fence the site will be starting this week – week beginning 13th March 2017. This work will be undertaken by our contractor Smallwood Countryside Contractors. They will be asked to ensure that both Watersplash Lane and the road and pavement along Sopwith Road are kept clear of mud, debris and vehicles.
Further work to create the car park, internal pathways and erection of an allotment community building will follow later in the year and will be subject to planning regulations.
We apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause over the coming period. If you have any questions or concerns over the works, please do not hesitate to contact the Parish Office on 01344 457777 or e-mail us email@example.com.

The Parish Council is therefore required to fill the vacancy by co-option. This will take place at the council meeting on Wednesday 22 March 2017 at the Parish Office.
Anyone interested in applying should complete the nomination form or contact the Parish Clerk for more information. The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday 10 March.
All eligible candidates will be asked to submit a short letter or CV giving reasons why they should be considered for the vacancy and will then be invited to attend the council meeting on the 22 March to introduce themselves to members.
Please see the attached nomination form regarding eligibility and ‘The Good Councillor’s Guide’ which explains more about the role of a parish councillor.
The approved infrastructure scheme for the development of Warfield includes a new link road which will connect the Quelm Park roundabout to Forest Road.
In order to construct this link there is a requirement to close Forest Road in order that works can be executed safely. From 9th January 2017 to April 2017 the closure will prohibit vehicles proceeding in any direction along the B3034 Forest Road between its junction with the A3095 Maidenhead Road (Three Legged Cross) and it’s junction with West End Lane. The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be via the B3018 Binfield Road, Harvest Ride, A3095 Newell Green and the B3034 Forest Road.
The footpath along Forest Road will remain open during this time but may be diverted to accommodate works.
For more information about this road closure you can contact Berkeley Homes on 01753 784400 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Click here to view the diversion route map. You can also view details of the closure and the diversion route map at the Parish Office.

Jealott’s Hill Community Landshare (JHCL) is bidding to bag a cash boost from the Tesco Bags of Help Initiative.
The supermarket has teamed up with Groundwork on it’s Bags of Help Initiative which see grants of £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 – all raised from the 5p bag levy – being awarded to environmental and greenspace projects. JHLC is one of three groups on the shortlist to receive the cash award with the group with the most votes gaining the maximum prize.
JHCL is an inspirational six acre multi-purpose garden within Warfield Parish for community use in Berkshire. The gardens welcome people with a disability or those from a disadvantaged background, supported by volunteers from the local community, to work on horticultural activities and create a haven for wildlife for all to enjoy. Sharing skills and produce is at the heart of this project which is a partnership between Bracknell Forest Homes, Bracknell Town Council, Warfield Parish Council and Syngenta.
Shoppers are being invited to head along to Tesco stores to vote for who they think should take away the top grant, so why not pop along to your local store and show your support for this fantastic community project.
Voting is open in stores from October 31st to November 13th.
