This is your first opportunity to comment on the plan and your feedback will be taken into account ahead of the formal submission to Bracknell Forest Council of the final plan. There will be a further opportunity to comment at this stage on the final plan.

We have received updated advice from the HSE concerning the surfaces required under swings and other equipment. As a result, the council will proceed with upgrading the sufaces under the swings and all the play equipment at the earliest opportunity.
Unfortunately this means we have temporarily withdrawn the swings, but they will be reinstated as soon as a new surface is installed. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but we hope you will appreciate that the safety of users has to be our priority.
Warfield Parish Council had planned to carry out the statutory six week consultation on their draft neighbourhood Plan from early May 2017. With the calling of the General Election to be held on Thursday 8th June 2017, the Parish Council must observe pre-election rules that restrict certain activity during a period of heightened political sensitivity.
Unfortunately this means we have had to defer the consultation period until the conclusion of the General Election campaign.
Following the recent ‘notice of vacancy’ for the Whitegrove Ward of Warfield Parish Council, no requests were received by the Returning Officer at Bracknell Forest Council to fill these two vacancies. The Parish Council is therefore required to fill the vacancies by co-option. This will take place at the council meeting on Wednesday 17 May 2017 at the Parish Office.
Anyone interested in applying should complete the nomination form and apply to the Clerk in writing on or before 12 noon on Friday 5 May 2017. Applicants are advised to contact the Clerk ahead of making an application for more information and to confirm their eligibility to stand.

The land adjacent to Quelm Lane and Sopwith Road has been designated as an allotment site as part of the Warfield SPD. We are pleased to be able to announce that the transfer of the site to the parish is now well under way. Work to clear and fence the site will be starting this week – week beginning 13th March 2017. This work will be undertaken by our contractor Smallwood Countryside Contractors. They will be asked to ensure that both Watersplash Lane and the road and pavement along Sopwith Road are kept clear of mud, debris and vehicles.
Further work to create the car park, internal pathways and erection of an allotment community building will follow later in the year and will be subject to planning regulations.

The approved infrastructure scheme for the development of Warfield includes a new link road which will connect the Quelm Park roundabout to Forest Road.
In order to construct this link there is a requirement to close Forest Road in order that works can be executed safely. From 9th January 2017 to April 2017 the closure will prohibit vehicles proceeding in any direction along the B3034 Forest Road between its junction with the A3095 Maidenhead Road (Three Legged Cross) and it’s junction with West End Lane. The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be via the B3018 Binfield Road, Harvest Ride, A3095 Newell Green and the B3034 Forest Road.
The footpath along Forest Road will remain open during this time but may be diverted to accommodate works.

Warfield Parish Council has a vacancy for a part time Administrative Assistant (fixed term contract) to work alongside the Clerk and Booking Administrator in the Parish Council Office at County Lane, Warfield, RG42 3JP (Tesco Store Site). This will be for a fixed term to 31 March 2017. We would be willing to consider this post for term time only to the right candidate.
Salary: £8.05 per hour, 17.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9.15 am – 12.45 pm
The successful candidate should have experience in dealing with the public and have good administration, IT and communication skills.
